Howling at the Black Moon
D&D 5e · Balcatta
It's been a decade since any man or woman in the Riverwood has seen the sun. The creeping black edge of perpetual darkness strangles the traveller's torch light. The bravest in the Riverwood gather at Lodge Stone to take a stand against the darkness. Fortune, glory, justice, bloodlust... whatever your reasons for making your way to Lodge Stone, you quickly joined a hunting party; lone adventurers don't survive long these days. Miss Lily, daughter of Malek the inn keeper, has disappeared. He has offered a month's ale and lodgings for those who return her to him. Whispers abound of a girl disappearing into the darkness with nothing but a torch and the clothes on her back. A shepherd swears he was warding off a lone wolf at the edge of the darkness when saw the daughter within arms reach of it. They both blinked out of view without warning, a dark omen if you ask him. He said he'll show you the way, for a copper and a mug of ale.
