Following the very sad, terminal illness of one of our close friends and D&D regulars, we placed our old D&D campaign on hold and ran a few linked Cthulhu one-shots, with the first scenario being “The Blackthorne Bridge Club” (available on DriveThru RPG and podcast episodes on Podbean). This achieved a life of its own – with multiple groups having played the original scenario and various subgroups branching out into Candela Obscura as well as 3 other active D&D campaigns, Daggerheart and our own "Minor Arcana" incorporating around 27 players.
